Filmserie | The Impact of Giving

In the series ‘The impact of giving’ we follow Professor Paul Smeets on his journey to measure the impact of different charity, policy and investment projects using science. Through his research, Paul’s gaol is to help projects become more effective and, ultimately, contribute to a happier and healthier society.

Paul Smeets was appointed professor of philanthropy and sustainable finance by Maastricht University School of Business and Economics and the Elisabeth Strouven Foundation. In this role, his goal is to evaluate the impact of charitable projects, study what motivates people to give and explore new developments and trends in the world of philanthropy and sustainable finance.
